Health Sciences Faculty: Special Supplemental Benefits Enrollment Begins July 1
Faculty participating in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan (HSCP) Supplemental Benefits Program may enroll in Additional Life and AD&D coverage during a Special Enrollment period.
Special Enrollment Period
Closes: July 31 at 11:59 p.m.
Eligible faculty may elect Additional Life and AD&D coverage equal to one, two or three times their Y-salary, up to $500,000, without answering health questions.

Who Is Eligible
Faculty members with "H-Comp" in their job title who work at least 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the HSCP Supplemental Benefits Program.
Employer-Paid Coverage
Eligible faculty are automatically enrolled in the following employer-paid benefits:
- Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
- Long Term Disability
Program Administration
Beginning July 1, 2026, The Standard will administer the HSCP Supplemental Benefits Program for UC Davis.
