UC Davis Health: Personnel File Review and Employment Misconduct Review Processes

UC Davis Health is implementing enhancements to the Personnel File Review and Employment Misconduct Review processes to support consistent hiring practices and ensure compliance with updated University of California policy.

What This Means for Hiring Managers

Supervisors and hiring managers should stop submitting AggieService requests for the candidate’s personnel file.

Talent Acquisition now coordinates Personnel File Reviews and Employment Misconduct Reviews as part of the recruitment process. If additional information or action is needed, your assigned recruiter will contact you directly.

Who Does This Apply To?

The updated process applies to:

  • Internal candidates from the Davis campus, UC Davis Health or any other UC location.
  • Rehire candidates and former UC employees

External candidates will continue to complete the Employment Misconduct Disclosure through the existing background check process, as applicable.

What Changed

The updated process reflects changes to UC Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) 21 and UC systemwide direction regarding employment misconduct reviews.

Key changes include:

  • Talent Acquisition recruiters now coordinate employment misconduct reviews using a standardized process.
  • Employee & Labor Relations and Office of Compliance & Policy validate information and determine whether adverse findings affect employment eligibility.
  • Automated workflow routing improves consistency, efficiency and documentation throughout the review process.
